The Real Murders of Atlanta

Oxygen True Crime launched a new show that highlights some of the most gruesome crimes that took place in Atlanta’s history. I was assigned with the creation of a new custom graphics package to promote the show. I took inspiration from the show’s keyart which featured a knife slashing open a peach on top of a map of Atlanta. I pulled a duotone color set from the keyart and overlaid it with map and peach skin textures to work as a type of footage treatment. I then used a watercolor effect to mimict the idea of blood to animate the text and act as a transitional element.
